Step 1 would be your issue - there's no need for running mkisofs. The
images are already CD filesystems. What you've now got is a CD
containing a single file - the AC-0.9-disc1.iso image itself.

Skip 1, go right to step 2. Just point it at the AC-0.9-disc1.iso file
instead of the disc1.iso you generated before.

No need to specify the file and root filesystem flags in SRM, either.
There are predefined options in aboot on the CD. As -fl options go ...

-fl 0     Normal install, graphical mode
-fl 1     Normal install, serial console
-fl 2     Text-mode install
-fl 3     Boot "rescue" mode

Mostly, "boot dka<whatever> -fl 0" will get you by. If your graphics
card isn't up to the task, go with "-fl 2".
