With your CD 1 in your CDROM drive:

    boot DKA500 -fi /kernels/vmlinux.gz -fl "root=/dev/sda1
initrd=images/cdrom.img" (no line wrap)

This is what I used on my 164LX. The docs on CD had cd-rom.img. The CD
has initrd at images/cdrom.img.
