inexpensive and accessible domain registration

Hi all,
I currently use godaddy.com to register domains for only $8, but
their domain manager is not lynx accessible. 
Can anyone reccommend a comparable domain registrar who has an accessible
domain management interface?
By comparable, I mean $8 or less to register a domain and
at minimum I need to be able to reset the name servers without
jumping through hoops.
