we're working on two general discussion lists, one technical and the other
non tech for the blind both of them.

The demand might arise for multiple lists. I would think the questions that
blindness-oriented developers would ask would be quite different than newbie
Mac users.

It looks active, but I haven't tried to subscribe. I suspect that once
Tiger hits the streets, the VO aspect of OS X will overwhelm the other
accessibility aspects.
