Telnet and FTP between a DOS System and Linux Boxes

Most Linux systems now use ssh and sftp as alternatives to telnet and ftp. They both encrypt the data in both directions. Most linux distributions include ssh and sftp by default.

When I am at school, I use dos versions called putty and sftp available at:  www.putty.nl
