possible bug in speakup

Hi,

When pressing alt f and alt b to go back/forward a word in emacs I hear 
no speech. The cursor moves on my braille display.
I tried highlight tracking cursoring and the other options there. I 
doubt this is a bug but is there a way to get around this? (Moving by 
word in emacs with speech?)
