speakup and kernel patches

Hi,

Ok sorry about all the questions to night.
What kernel do I get for debian lenny to work with speakup?
What is the latest kernel that will work with speakup?

What speakup patch do I use? And finally what instructions do I follow to 
do this?
Oh and one more thing once the kernel is compiled and installed what do I 
need to do to grub?
Also I am on an i386 machine.
