yasr

I'm looking at a laptop. How good is yasr? Any docs on
configuration/use? Will it be good enough to use with mutt, emacs, the
console and in general lots of other console apps? :) Currently I use
BRLTTY, but it would be nice if the braille display wouldn't have to
come everywhere I go. And I'm kind of over patching kernels although I
could use modules. Just curious more than anything though how good is
yasr?
And what's involved with configuring it?
