linux on msi computers

Hi.
I found out what fast boot is when I found this link
http://askubuntu.com/questions/452071/why-disable-fast-boot-on-windows-8-when-having-dual-booting
so when I read this I understand. windows can overwrite grub if I
don't disable fast boot before linux installation.
or don't remember files I save in linux.
