Dear Bugzilla user,

*ATTENTION: There are two(2) things you should be aware of and act on*

1) If you are running custom scripts and queries against Bugzilla then you need to know the following:

The partner Bugzilla hardware has been upgraded. This upgrade is acting as the trial phase for the actual hardware upgrade of the Bugzilla production system (planned for September 20th). We know that many Bugzilla users are running custom created scripts and queries against Bugzilla to automate parts of their engineering processes.

To be sure that these custom scripts will continue to work after the production hardware upgrade on September 20th we need you to test them against partner Bugzilla no later than September 9th. The Bugzilla development team is on stand-by to assist you with any issues you may encounter. Should you find any issues, report them using the following procedure [1].

2) Partner Bugzilla password changes:

Partner Bugzilla server now enforces the use of stronger passwords, which is in line with Red Hat's Information Security Operating Guidelines. Bugzilla passwords following the upgrade, must now be at least 8 characters long, include at least one letter, one number and one symbol. As part of the recent upgrade, all users were logged out and will need to re-enter their credentials upon using the upgraded system. If your current password does not satisfy the new criteria, you will be prompted to change it.

Please note;

The same changes will occur with the production 'Red Hat Bugzilla' service when it will be upgraded in a few weeks time on September 20th, 2015.

Thank you,

-- The Red Hat Bugzilla Team
