el5 strange build failure

Hello,

Another strange build failure, this time on EL-5:
http://buildsys.fedoraproject.org/logs/fedora-5-epel/37543-esmtp-0.6.0-3.el5/x86_64/root.log

i386 succeeded.

The root.log log is barely readable because of debugging (but maybe 
because somebody is searching for a hard to reproduce error?).

The only error I found is:
