Ah yes.  I remade the journal etc, everything looked good, then when I
rebooted the same problem was back.

I grabbed 2.4.16, made the fs modifications and rebooted in 2.4.10 and
everything's fine now. (I have a bunch of patches on 2.4.10 that would
be a pain and time to repatch 2.4.16.)

Any other major problems with 2.4.10 I should know?  
And where can I find out?
