Hi, Steve.

The journalling mode is specified via a mount option.

	mount /dev/hda1 /usr/src -o data=journal

or, in /etc/fstab:

	/dev/hda1 /usr/src  auto  defaults,data=journal 1 2

These are briefly described in `man 8 mount', if you have a recent
util-linux installed.
