I'm explicitly talking about the probing which mount does for "mount
-t auto" when it tries to work out what fs type to use.  In that case,
if there is a journal and ext3 is available in the kernel, mount
should be using ext3, not ext2, and that requires teaching mount about
ext3 extensions to the ext2 superblock.
