I would be careful of:
* "vanilla" -- because we *do* sometimes carry patches, we just try to
work them upstream, and if they don't get there we should drop them
* "bleeding edge" -- because that makes it seem like people should
expect very little to work well in a given Fedora release, whereas I
think we all agree that's not the case -- maybe "leading edge" is
better!
