Re-Spins (DVD and CD Sets) of Fedora 8. These Re-Spin ISOs are based
on the officially released Fedora 8 installation media and include all
updates released as of March 31st, 2008. The ISO images are available
for i386, x86_64 and PPC architectures via Jigdo starting Wednesday,
April 2nd, 2008."

=== Fedora Events Budget ===
MaxSpevack posted two emails [1,2] to the Ambassadors mailing list
this week regarding the Fedora Events Budget. This is a big item for
Ambassadors as it is how we manage to have funds for the events we
attend and represent Fedora for. The first email outlines how the
funds are being distributed in the first quarter and what funds have
been spent so far. The second email covers events happening in the
second quarter and reminds Ambassadors that all events that are to be
considered for funding need to be on the Fedora Events [3] page by May
1st, 2008.

FrancescoUgolini and NicuBuculei worked together to produce Ambassador
Wall posters [1] based on quotes Francesco gathered last month. The
posters look very impressive and add a personal feel to Fedora. They
will also make great posters to hang at future Fedora Events.

=== Fedora and Italian Communities ===
GianlucaVarisco posted [1] to the Ambassadors list a proposal for
trying to organize the Italian Fedora community more efficiently.
Currently there are several sources for information regarding Fedora.
Gianluca has suggested finding a way to centralize or organize these
resources to promote a stronger Italian Fedora community. If you have
ideas for them, please drop by the Ambassador's mailing list and help
them out.

=== Fedora TV Becoming A Reality? ===
The Fedora Project was previously working with the engineers behind
Lulu.TV on creating a "Fedora TV" project, but once this Web 2.0
startup faded away, so did any hopes of Fedora TV actually becoming a
reality. However, GregDeKoenigsberg has rejuvenated these video
efforts and is looking for advice on setting up this project to
distribute Fedora-related videos[1]. The goal of Fedora TV will be to
let Fedora users upload videos related to this free software operating
system and making it easily accessible to others with distribution via
Ogg Theora. The current options for this project range from just using
Archive.org videos to setting up Miro on fedoraproject.org

"The idea is to serve something similar to fedora-announce-list, but
only for L10N community. Due to wide distribution of emails through

approve posts to this mailing list. At the moment, moderators are same
as fedora-trans-list, but this will change once we get our FLSCo. One

Google Summer of Code.
"As part of the Google Summer of Code, I will apply to Fedora project,
for an improvement to Transifex. The project title is Transifex:

discussed with him earlier."

Some one reported that the wiki was down, on trying to ssh it timed
out where as ping was working fine. Later it seemed that someone else
was using this ip address. MikeMcGrath found a mac address which was
doing this.

=== Looking ahead: Fedora 10 Themes ===
With the Fedora 9 graphics almost done and checked into Rawhide, the
Art team does not rest on its laurels, it starts to explore new
concepts which can be used in the next version, Fedora 10.
The first with the initiative is AndyFitzsimon who propose reviving or
building upon the flying high concept from FC7: "Nothing say infinite
freedom like looking to the sky."
FrankMurphy comes [2] with a concept about waterfalls: "Roar=Voice,
Timeless=Infinite, Flowing=Freedom" and MairinDuffy with two concepts
[3]: one based on neon lights "neon being the 10th element in the
periodic table of elements", "The link between sulphur and neon would
be that they are both elements" and steampunk: "We could come up with
some very interesting visual ideas to accompany bathysphere, such as
underwater aquatic scenes or we could go for a really really cool
steampunk look".
People are enthusiastic about the proposals, MartinSourada create the
placeholder page [4] for Fedora 10 themes, NicuBuculei comes with a
couple of original graphic concepts [5], [6] and a first theme, Gears
[7], is formally proposed [8].

metatheme (GTK+, Metacity). Mark comes with a first round of
suggestions [1] and later with a mock-up [2], GianPaoloMureddu and
MartinSourada with their round of suggestion and questions to further
refine the ideas.
