Nice, I prefer the complex one but instead of using concentric waves like u do, I think it would be better try a new version moving the waves near a "corner" (if we can say corner for a circle :D)
And maybe u can try a more dark blue tone for the background.
In the end +1, but I'm curious to see the variation.

I have taken into consideration the ideas / suggestions discussed eariler in this threasd and an updated version of the art is on the wiki:

I chose "x86_64 Live CD" as the sample variation because it was the longest string. 

feel free to comment, critique and enhance these works...

Doubtful they'll be used, but probably trivial to create art for:
