Sonds like more of a general hardware compatibility / installation
issue to me.  Try flipping BIOS values for the SATA stuff...  Look
for somehting like "compatibility" mode or similar.

I've not even seen F7 yet but in FC6 land, sounds like 'creatrepo'
was skipped (total guess).
