[fedora-java] jre rhOOo & fc3

Hi,
If I'm in the wrong place I'm happy to be pointed to another forum.

I'm trying to install "Mobile Device Support Pack" for rhOOo (1.2) on 
fc3 as described here:

I've installed jre 1.5, but I'm getting some errors on the install of 
XMergeInstall.jar

Error on install:
# java -jar XMergeInstall.jar
Cannot find sversion.ini/.sversionrc
-
In addition I get a popup window: "Could not locate the OpenOffice
settings file.  Are you sure StarOffice is installed on your system?"

Also, I probably need to "register" jre for OOo somehow?

Alternatively to resolving the above (if not resolvable) should I -
- following info in Bug 147019 
<https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=147019> re xmerge, 
install rhOOo from rawhide?
- or, install OOo from the OOo; I'd prefer to stay with rh install?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
