gtk+ from gnome cvs needs automake 1.7 - 1.9 is installed, what to do ?

hi john,
thx for your solution, but it does not solve my problem, the packages
were already installed, i reinstalled and got the same error.
but nice to know, its not a case of either/or for this package.
