I am attempting to do just that but I'm not having much luck. The patch
applies just fine but the damn thing will not build. First I had
problems with the make system complaining about libpopt.so so I ran
autoreconf and made a new tarball of the resulting sources. That allows
it to do quite a bit of work but the rpmbuild still fails right here:
