Compared to Epiphany, perhaps, but certainly not Galeon.  Epiphany's
goal was to make a simple UI, Galeon's was to cram everything under the
sun into a GNOME interface.

For a little history:

Firefox is to Mozilla what
Epiphany is to Galeon.

Both Epiphany and Galeon lost their relevancy when Firefox and Mozilla
started integrating into the GNOME desktop.  There are still some warts,
but most stuff just works.  Firefox is now and always has been "Mozilla
simplified".  They took out UI for a lot of things, relegated more
things to extensions and just plain removed features from Mozilla.  The
funny thing is, more people use Firefox than Mozilla these days
"despite" its simplified UI.

In fact, apart from the many Firefox extensions I have installed, the
Firefox and Epiphany UIs are almost identical in terms of layout and
functionality.  Your argument is specious at best and your analogy
faulty.  If you don't like the general trend of simplifying the user
interface, that's one thing, but it's definitely not a GNOME-only trend
and certainly isn't going to stop.
