Not really. We are informed what's happening, I can't recall
a single instance where feedback from the list reverted a
decision to include/exclude a package from core.
But this is a different matter, it was just an example.

No, I did not. But if you are consistent, it can be argued that
these are different projects, and issues should be discussed
upstream.
