Before someone does this it might be useful to profile yum and see where
the bottlenecks are. Writing slow code is possible in any language and
if python can run youtube it should be fast enough for a tool like
yum... I heard that the new cProfile in python 2.5 is pretty good, so
maybe this is a good starting point.
