Yes, that's why we IMHO need a real "Fedora Packaging Board" that
handles such things. Otherwise we run into a situation where
foo redhat com and foo im interested in fedora say foobar while

Yes, that would have been the best. But I don't think the end result
would have been different. Here are some quotes from the IRC discussion:

BTW, the relevant part of the package naming guidelines (that are for
Core and Extras these days) starts at:

> fact.

There is more in the wiki. Yes, I know that some people don't like this
scheme. But at least one general scheme is better than a lot of
different schemes.
