Prelinking doesn't help on my x86_64 system.  I can su to a user, but I can't su 
to root.

[root at hawk ~]# rm /etc/prelink.cache
rm: remove regular file `/etc/prelink.cache'? y
[root at hawk ~]# /etc/cron.daily/prelink
[root at hawk ~]# su - jcliburn
[jcliburn at hawk ~]$ su -
Segmentation fault
[jcliburn at hawk ~]$
