/usr/include/libxml/parser.h provided by two packages

  That sounds wrong this should be
   /usr/include/libxml2/libxml/parser.h

  Still sounds wrong, libxml (version 1.x) now deprecated and removed from
the distribution used to provide /usr/include/libxml/parser.h , I don't
see libxml++ providing it but rather 
    /usr/include/libxml++/parser.h
and I suspect a regexp mistake or something.

  In any case install libxml2-devel and use xml2-config
