Hello Dennis,

Than Ngo has maintained the KDE packages for many years and they show
a real good stability for all our releases. Than Ngo is a very well
respected person to work on the packages.

The decision was to keep the core packages with Than Ngo and open up
more development via adding more KDE packages to Fedora. Then the next
bigger step is to work on KDE4 where a bigger development step happens.

Than Ngo is very active and he is very fast to respond to integrating
patches etc. Also he knows devel cycles very well where we are right
now frozen for F7 and look at F7-updates.

Than Ngo is the maintainer for the core kde packages.

regards,

Florian La Roche
