Its a very sane one

The partitioning needs to be queried because the layout cannot easily be
adjusted. The packages likewise although it is become less so and as the
post install tools get better there is a good argument for pushing that
choice ot later.

That's meaningless. What percentage of those systems are running with
the correct choice for their system ?
