In my stock F8 setup, I had desktop-effects set to off and then started
compiz with compiz-manager since I use ccsm. After installing F9B, this
setup would result in my laptop locking up with screen corruption when I
logged in. After trying some different things, all of which didn't help
find the problem, I put it back to that original setup and it then
wouldn't lock up but just log me out when I tried to login. I can't seem
to run compiz at all now.

I was waiting for the big round of updates after the unfreeze to see if
anything helped.

Thanks,

tjb
