snort maintainer ?

I'm the maintainer of snort the packaging of it is better than when i started 
but is nasty and painful.  the package gets compiled 9 times during the 
build.   Im open to  co-maintainers.  i was using snort in an old job which 
is why i picked it up.  so far no one has stepped up and submitted patches.  
So submit patches to me and we can look at making you a co-maintainer or even 
primary maintainer if you can give it the love it needs.   the devel tree has 
2.8.1 checked in but there were some issues with it.
