F9 whatis updates-new

I think the "is this normal?" is a loaded question as what you are doing is
(to the best of my knowledge) not a supported upgrade path. I would
personally recommend a backup of data and a fresh install, but that is just
my opinion.

bunch of files coming from repo 'updates-new'.  Is this normal?  Will the
system still be usable if I install all these updates from 'updates-new'
