Absolutely. Filing a bug reports means that the issue is reported in a
place where everybody can track it and it reaches the people who can
work on that problem.  You also have the opportunity to participate in
the discussions when it takes place. Bitching about it in the mailing
list is a ineffective strategy however which was what I was pointing out.
