Editing the dse.ldif
Ok. That explains it. If you want to edit dse.ldif, you must make sure to shutdown the server first. The server will overwrite dse.ldif at exit. Alternately, you can just use ldapmodify to edit the value of this attribute.

Hi

I need to set those variables to an unlimited value.
Whatever value i set, after reload i get "nsslapd-lookthroughlimit: 5000" in the
"dn: cn=config,cn=ldbm database,cn=plugins,cn=config"
section of my dse.ldif.
How are you setting the value of this attribute? Via LDAP? Editing dse.ldif?

Has someone an idea of the problem ?
