[Fedora-directory-users] LDAP Unsolicited Notifications

Hi all,

Does Fedora Directory Server support unsolicited notifications?

According to 
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jndi/ldap/unsol.html, I need to 
"prod" the server in a directory dependent way.

Does anyone have any information about what this means, practically?
