Jason, this half of your message would be more appropriate at
fedora-list which is for general fedora-related questions. Please
subscribe and send messages there. But to answer your question yes Evo
can be added to the startup session by Hat -> Preferences -> More
Preferences -> Sessions and then add evolution to the Startup Programs
tab. Evo can't notify you of new mail if it's not running but there's a
little panel applet that could do this (among other ways). Right-click
the panel, then Add to panel -> Internet -> Inbox Monitor and point it
to your mail settings.
