OK, given the time zone thing, maybe a Saturday morning would work
better for everyone. My wife and I have two little ones, so I'm used to
getting up pretty early. ;-) As long as I can get my coffee first,
we're good to go.

If I did, say, 9am Eastern (1400 GMT) on Saturday, December 9, would
that work for everyone? AIUI, that means 5pm for John, et al., but the
3am slot is pretty brutal for Sam. Perhaps doing this twice makes sense
then, once on Monday night at 2200 GMT (5:00pm Eastern), and then again
on Saturday at 1400 GMT (9:00am Eastern).
