If the project has been aborted, there is reason to be concerned, because
the software would be unmaintained unless somebody else picked it up.
There has not been a release since two and a half years. Now, regardless
of whether the software still works, please keep that in mind.

The only dependency of this, "celestia", no longer needs it, but gtkglext.
And your lablgl was not built --with gl by default.
