We're using the following macros for that:
%define python_sitearch %(python -c 'from distutils import sysconfig; print sysconfig.get_python_lib()')
%define python_sitelib %(python -c 'from distutils import sysconfig; print sysconfig.get_python_lib(1)')
Is this what you are using too ?
