If that is the case, then you must convince upstream kernel.org to merge FUSE into the standard kernel. Then adding userspace packages like sshfs would be fairly easy to do.


The 3rd line of the website reads :

"Simple installation (no need to patch or recompile the kernel)"

It does require a kernel module, though, so it's a similar situation to AFS
and many others...
