Probably a good thing. Still :

The bug reported initially mentioned doesn't seem to necessarily be caused
by an icon cache being present. A minute ago, I ran "yum install
flumotion", and the new entry in my GNOME menu doesn't show any icon. The
desktop file seems fine and the /usr/share/pixmaps/flumotion.png file is
present.

$ ls /usr/share/pixmaps/*cache*
ls: /usr/share/pixmaps/*cache*: No such file or directory

I've looked through the directory and don't see anything unusual.

Last times this happened to me (on other computers), the icon was there
after logging out and back in, or after the next bootup, pretty much like
the report you got it seems.
