Sorry, I misread your previous message. I missed the "at", making it "Do
you remember which step of the sign-up process you were", which made it
sound to me as if "Step" was some attribute assigned to me by an
automated system.

Indeed. I tried the "Edit your account" link, and indeed I could log in,
and I'd say it seems as though my account is approved and functional,
which I find strange since I have received no notification of approval
(and yes, I doublechecked the e-mail address I had given right now).

Was I not supposed to get a notification that I had been approved?
