buildsys: problem in check-files?

Just happened to notice this in a buildsys build log (for a successful
build in devel/i386):

Checking for unpackaged file(s): /usr/lib/rpm/check-files /var/tmp/neXtaw-0.15.1-7.fc5-buildroot
find: cannot get current directory: Permission denied

Does this mean that the unpackaged files check is not working there?  If
so, I guess it'd also affect the possible future buildroot/rpath checks.
