Do I really have to mention the obvious?

To stay polite, in this case, upstream is trying to impose artificial contraints
and is trying to force their proprietary conventions to FE's packaging.

As the eterm mentioned above is not an FE package, their packaging, their
conventions etc. are irrelevant.
