Are there any yet-another python implementation? someone may still wants to use
older release of python though, it sounds to me like it's a little different
case, and even if someone does support byte-compiling installation for python,
it may be less worth efforts.
For %{_netsharedpath} and read-only /usr/share mounts, it could just stops to do
byte-compiling if installation path is included in %{_netsharedpath} since rpm
won't do anything. so it should be general issue but not specific issue. or can
you explain me much more details that is likely case?
Also, you will have to do byte-compile with --no-init-file --no-site-file, of
course.
