This error also occurs when using cvs-import.sh --branch

tried with your command, same thing:

cvs tag -F -c ntfs-config-0_5_4-4_fc6
Enter passphrase for key '/home/lxtnow/.ssh/id_dsa':
ERROR: The tag ntfs-config-0_5_4-4_fc6 is already applied on a different branch
ERROR: You can not forcibly move tags between branches
cvs tag: Pre-tag check failed
cvs [tag aborted]: correct the above errors first!
make: *** [tag] Error 1

i'm working to resolve this error.
