(It was also apparent at that time that they wouldn't be ready before F12 was out.) At this point I don't there should be a rush to get the new version into rawhide. I may start playing with packaging the new version, just to catch any quirks, etc, but I don't think I'll be putting it in rawhide until it's released as stable, unless there's a pretty stable release candidate and it looks like it'll go stable right after a Fedora release, like we did with Firefox 3. -J -- in your fear, seek only peace in your fear, seek only love -d. bowie From bruno at wolff.to Wed Dec 2 16:26:02 2009 From: bruno at wolff.to (Bruno Wolff III) Date: Wed, 2 Dec 2009 10:26:02 -0600 Subject: ogrechess project started Message-ID: <20091202162602.GA6445@wolff.to> My request for ogrechess hosting was approved and there is now a git reop for it at fedorahosted. The project is at http://git.fedoraproject.org/git/ogrechess.git . For the time being there is no mailing list or trac set up. I won't need a mailing list until there are other contributors to talk to. I didn't want to start with a trac setup right off the bat, but it seems clear to me that I will enventually need to learn to use trac better and have one set up for the project. In the mean time there is a TODO file. My goal is to get ogrechess packaged for F13 or F14 and have it obsolete chess going forward. I'm working together with the Debian packager on replacement textures, sound and music, as time allows, until this is fixed it cannot be included in Fedora. I've been discussing doing a "development sprint" focussing solely on resource replacement together with the debian packager, as we are both Dutch the idea was to get together and work an entire day on this, hopefully making some good progress. It would be nice if others could join in (be it virtual not necessarily physically). So are there any takers for this ?
