I haven't succeeded yet in getting X compose working with im-xim.so
- so would appreciate receiving clues/steps to do that. :)
Is "GTK_IM_MODULE=xim" sufficient?

IIUC it means that if one enables XIM on the desktop then
your [']+[c] should work for pt_BR in gtk apps.
However as I say above I haven't succeeded yet with doing that.
