Hi,
I just did some testing based on latest Rawhide. The testing includes installation and booting.
Installation and other issues:
1. Local NFS installation failed with " cannot open display: :1"
Steps: a) use vmlinuz and initrd.img (from boot.img) to load installation.
b) select NFS installation.
c) DHCP and input NFS location.
d) screen display following information and have to reboot the system:
"...
Waiting for X server to start ... log located in /tmp/ramfs/X.log
1...2...3...4...5... X server started successfully.
(mini-wm:695): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :1
"
2. VNC installation is okay. But it reports an exception and ask user to save and report this exception. Please the attachment.
3. In package selection, I can select "Xen". System just only install Xen kernel, nor native kernel. I am not sure if this is the purpose. But the installed Xen kernel wasn't configed like a Xen booting elilo.conf. It only includes vmlinuz-xen and initrd-xen, without xen.gz. System can not up with this config.
4. System can be normally up without selection Xen installation. But X can not startup.
5. Manually install Xen is okay and good. It can help to do the correct configuration in elilo.conf. But a little pity, I can not use this xen to start my platform. :(
Any comments? I will try to report bugs with above issues, if nobody reported yet.
Best Regards,
Yongkang (Kangkang) 永康
