Hi Prarit,
You've got the point: disabling SELinux was the solution. BTW, kernel
2.6.17-1.2431 wasn't bootable on my zx6000 (kernel panic). Fortunately, kernel
2.6.17-1.2432 work like a charm. The SELinux issue is still there however. Here
are the related logs:
audit(1153592254.970:5): avc: denied { search } for pid=1835 comm="grubby"
name="/" dev=sda1 ino=1 scontext=user_u:system_r:bootloader_t:s0
tcontext=system_u:object_r:dosfs_t:s0 tclass=dir
audit(1153592254.970:6): avc: denied { search } for pid=1835 comm="grubby"
name="/" dev=sda1 ino=1 scontext=user_u:system_r:bootloader_t:s0
tcontext=system_u:object_r:dosfs_t:s0 tclass=dir
error opening /boot/efi/EFI/redhat/elilo.conf for read: Permission denied
Hope this helps.
Many thanks,
Émeric
